  • Battery: 20,000mAh or higher portable power bank (note: there are TSA limits for how big a battery pack can be while flying)
  • Estimated Battery Life: 6+ hours typical use
  • WiFi: 802.11ac, dual-band (2.4GHz / 5GHz)

  • Range: ~100 feet (30 meters) open space

Network Requirements

RKPi5 as Access Point

When operating as a standalone access point:

  • No internet required: Complete offline operation
  • WiFi only: No cellular data needed
  • Range: ~100 feet typical (obstacles reduce range)
  • Users: Up to 15 concurrent connections

Optional Internet Connection
